Weak Bars
Your cellphone should have good reception to use – low bars are not good. Your phone uses more radiation to try to make a connection when bars are low (very weak signal).
Radiation is not good for your eyes or brain, so wait until you get more bars before trying to use your phone. If it is struggling to connect, it’s not good for you.
By the way, if you are stuck somewhere with low battery and can't get hold of anyone, put a new voicemail greeting on your phone giving your location (as best as you can) and that you need help. Hopefully you have enough battery and bars to upload a voicemail greeting. That way if someone gets worried, they can call you and then get help from hearing the message.
