iPhone Changes Settings
I don’t know why or how, but my iPhone changes various settings at will, it seems, and I have no idea how to change it back sometimes (check out the pink screen issue). My apps will usually default to background refresh when I do an update. I know there have been other issues that come up with no real reason for it.
I have to take screenshots of approved posts in a Facebook group I am admin in, and a few times hundreds of them randomly ended up with a heart in my favorites folder – I did NOT put them there nor do I want them there! It takes a long time to clear them, because I have to look at each photo to see what it is to take the heart off (though I just realized I can enlarge the photos so I can “select” a bunch and take the heart off a bunch at a time.
The Apple tech, when I told him how things are changed on the phone, said “technology” and shrugged his shoulders.
The best thing you can do is to learn your phone and its capabilities. Go to settings and check out every option on it – do not save changes if you get caught in an area – if you can’t back out, swipe the settings away so it resets the app without making any changes. Do this when you have time, not all at once unless you have time. It can get exhausting, considering how many settings there are. Take notes for your benefit so you can find the areas in the future.
The intuitive areas of the phone settings may not have what options you are looking for - I would not have thought to look for color schemes where they are (pink screen) and had to ask the tech for the path. Often the Apple techs have me navigate through the settings and I pay attention, even taking screenshots to remember plus writing notes. I want to replicate what was found and “fix” it if it happens again.
No matter what type of phone or laptop or device, there are a lot of useful settings you should figure out. Many are of no use to you, but the ones that are, are worth finding.
