More Scam Emails Showing Up
I have been “subscribed” to emails over and over. No, I did NOT subscribe to them and most I would not. It’s pretty obvious some entity has been selling my email address and these email solicitors just started sending emails without confirmation of my opting in. That, in itself, means I want nothing to do with those companies since they just opt me in without my permission.
To get off the list, I won’t go to the “unsubscribe” link because all it does is confirm that my email belongs to a live person and then my email gets sent out to more email entities to further scam. I just block the sender and block the domain of the sender. You might have to search how to do this for your email service. The other risk you have of going to the “unsubscribe” link is that some are set up to install a virus or something bad. I tried it once and got a stern warning from my browser to exit the website right away. I will not do that again and do not suggest anyone else to.
Unfortunately, the other entities won’t “know” that you blocked them, as the emails go into the email trash bin and keep coming. But it is not worth unsubscribing because you confirm your email address, where your non-response to the emails will neither confirm nor deny your email as confirmed.
