Deceptive Emails – Check the Sender!
I keep getting deceptive emails that use the sender title as one I would be familiar with, but if I hover or click on that email sender, the email shows a gobbledygook email. It was trying to get you to trust the entity but would likely scam you.
I block those deceptive email senders. Then I get yet another email of same with a variation of the previous sender email address. They will keep sending those emails from various other email addresses to try to trip you up.
I also check which email they are sent to – because I often would have signed up for the store using a certain email, but the scam ones come to a different email of mine, so I know it’s a fake deceptive email.
I’ve been getting a lot from “State Farm” but not at the email I do get their emails from. It’s usually that they have an offer of a free something but it’s a scam. When I block them, the sender’s email is gobbledygook.
