I Got a Text Asking Me About My Coffee Date
I do not know anything about the text – I did not go out for coffee, and I have nothing to say about it. And I know no one with such phone number.
I did not reply and I blocked the number.
These predatory texts acting like you were out to coffee expected at an appointment or some other event that might seem more like a wrong number. Many are sent to see if you will respond so the other end can verify that it’s working contact number. I’ve gotten ones to confirm my appointment using someone else’s name.
Resist replying to tell them they got a wrong number. You’ll play into their scam. They will know they have a live phone number to send more scams to.
