Got Texts That My Ambulance Ride Bill is Due
I got texts that my ambulance ride is due now, more than one.
“Your medical bill from your ambulance trip with American Medical Response is now ready. You may also receive a bill in the mail.”I did not ride in an ambulance at any point recently (the last time I was in an ambulance was when I was about 3 years old). There is no reason for me to be billed. It’s a scam.
I blocked the sender and reported it as a scam.
The lengths of which these scammers go to – they prey on your emotions and make you think you must act. If you have a recent ambulance trip, you might be tricked to reply to them. Instead, call the actual ambulance service you used to confirm whether you owe anything.
Do not click on any links nor call. The links will go to a scam site or infect your computer. There is a scammer at the other end of the phone if you call. Don’t reply to the text either as there is some scammer waiting to answer you.
They will try to convince you of the validity of their bill. You can argue and they will argue back, perhaps even to threaten you. So, it’s best to block and not bother to engage at all. PR More Scam Articles Need a Lawsuit Advance?
