Music develops brain function. Music is mathematical, rhythmic, creative, imaginative, and more. If your child listens to and learns to play music, it will be a fun, soothing escape for her. Playing music need not be regimented lessons but just fun. Some kids thrive in lessons and others don't. Many sports use musicality to perform to (figure skating, gymnastics, etc.). Others play music while the sport is played at times (baseball, hockey, etc.). It's good for the brain and making different type neural connections!
