If you owe more taxes than what you can pay, call up the IRS (before April tax crunch time, or even afterwards) and negotiate a reasonable
payment schedule - they like to deal with people who are trying to be responsible about their obligations. If you set up a
payment schedule (and be reasonable - don't expect to take 10 or 20 years to pay back your taxes), stick to it, and if you cannot, call them
back and explain the difficulty and what you can do right now, and set up a new schedule. The IRS can be surprisingly decent to work with.
Don't just lie or cheat or evade - be up front and try to do the right thing.
Filing Dates - if the 15th isn't a mailing day (Sunday or Holiday, or if the next mailing
date is the 16th - being a holiday in D.C. - Emancipation Day), taxes are due or at least
postmarked by the next business day after the 15th. To

Highlights of new Tax Law Changes -
find out where you can save on taxes this year - you might be able to come up with new deductions or calculate some areas
differently. Find out what you can take advantage of - or what you might have to report differently than in other years.
Of course, it pays to keep up with the new year's tax changes - so you will keep the records you need to file for
additional benefits, or for new requirements.
Look over how much you are paying in taxes - if you got a large refund, set up your withholding to a lesser amount. Use the
money yourself or place it into savings, rather than letting the government hold it and make interest off of it at your
expense. This is not the best "savings" vehicle for your money.

Relief for your back & neck when using a laptop, and eliminate the heat.
Laptops are ergonomically awful - the screen and keyboard aren't in the right places to keep yourself
healthy - you have to lean over to work with it, and then there s the problem of heat - which can and does
cause other health problems. One wonderful invention is the LapGenie
- it is an adjustable desk to set your
laptop into the best position it can be. It folds up for easy travel, and has many other uses. Check it out. It's made a huge difference to
me and a lot of people. Highly recommended!
