See if you can relate to the following pet peeves, and
submit your
own for all to see (but keep it clean!). It's good therapy to acknowledge and
write it out, plus to know others feel the same way!
My pet peeve is when I go to the store or tell various people "thank you" - and they say "no problem" instead of
"you're welcome"! Was I a problem? Could I have been a problem?
My pet peeve is when I sign up for a limited time offer, and I do this in time (once I even got an
email confirmation that I entered within the first ten people), and then the program never calls as promised, doesn't
even email me or anything. They just let the offer expire. Bad ethics!
I get peeved when people who have a stop sign think it means "I need to beat that oncoming car into the lane" - accelerating
rather than stopping at all. Plus all the other BAD driving they do. 4-way stops peeve me as well - no one seems to know what to
do in them - and more than one car from a side goes!
I get peeved when people look over my shoulder when I am cooking - my mother in law gets
upset if she sees me adding certain ingredients (I always set aside her portion so I can cook the rest
the way I want). Another guy comes up behind me at Thanksgiving trying to second-guess everything and grabs
sample tastes without invitation - even acccused me of using "gravy-starter" when I was only using
flour and water - I cook from scratch! ugh.
My Pet Peeve: I have a toll free number on my website, and it peeves me when people use the
800 number to solicit their programs and advertising avenues - I won't do any business with someone
who solicits via my toll free number - I am the one paying for their call. They need to email or call the
regular number.

I get peeved when my phone messages ask me to call someone back - but instead of leaving
an area code, they leave the zip code!

I get peeved when people leave a phone message to call them back, but don't tell me what the name to
ask for is - and then no one in the house knows who called.
I get peeved when people don't pay commissions owed - or when I have to fight for them to pay - it's
unethical.
I get peeved when people leave messages on the phone that are
impossible to understand (cell phones blip out a lot). Wish they'd repeat
the phone number at least one or two more times and maybe I can get the whole
thing!
I get peeved when my husband sees I am crying or emotional and
then has the nerve to comment "Are you having your period?"
I get peeved when I get those porn emails and the ones that are
repeated over and over again. Or the ones that tell me I won a million dollars
in a contest I never entered. Or the ones that say things like "gadnsanndfanadananakfv;ws"
in the subject (like I have ANY idea what it is talking about and I would by
ANY chance do anything other than DELETE)?
I get peeved when people try to "outdo" whatever I say. If I say
I am reading a book, they say they read it yesterday. Or if my child counted
to 10, they say their kid can count to 100 (but they will not have their child demonstrate it!).
I get peeved when I say I am reading a book and someone will
eventually say "I loved that book - it was a shock to find out Sam was the
culprit all along!" Ruins the story!
I get peeved when people email me and they present it as URGENT -
but then never reply to what I send to them as an answer.
I get peeved when I step in a dog pile someone didn't bother to
pick up, and I am running through the grass or walking while not looking
where I step. ugh!
I get peeved when someone speaks right to my face but his or her
breath can knock one over being SO bad!
I get peeved when people don't return what they borrow, and then I
have to go "borrow" it back when I need it!
What is this new word "i-o-no"? It used to me "I dunno" and before
that "I don't know" - the slurring of words gets me peeved!
I get peeved when people answer the phone "Hey" - or even as the
greeting in person! What happened to manners?
Pet peeves of doing business online:
1. People who take on a program, promote it, talk it up,
but have no real idea what they are talking about. They
promise more than there is to offer, they make up
information, they totally mislead and misinform. They
never follow through, correct themselves or apologize.
I get so many complaints from people about others
promoting the funding business!
2. Advertising that is always "in your face" - popping up,
or sitting in front of the site you are trying to read, or not
letting you see the website because the advertising is infringing
in every way, bouncing all over the page like a moving target -
ugh. And, of course, these ads have no targeted audience -
they try to push something I am not looking for.
