Schedule tasks to get things done. Pull apart a project into pieces and schedule to do those steps on days before. Strategize to get it done – and earlier than the due date so you can go over it and clear up any mistakes or put in points you thought of or make it better with fresh eyes.
Put the steps on your calendar and make each have its own deadline – block a part of your day to schedule for each task. Learn to live with and embrace deadlines – make a game or challenge for yourself. Reward yourself only after you met a deadline and check it off as done.
Carve out time for each step, and don’t put off any of them. If you wait until the last minute to even start, your product will suffer, or not even get done. Cramming to get something done at the end is so risky. You don’t want to hand in either nothing or a bad project. Start working on it earlier than you need and add more as you think on it.
