CLASSIFIED AND FREE ADVERTISING
Free classifieds usually don't work - people usually go to those sites to either PLACE ads,
without reading, or to HARVEST email addresses from the ads. No matter where you advertise,
be prepared to receive some amount of spam if your email address is exposed. People go to any lengths to get your
contact information. Use an email address that you won't care about - maybe get a free hotmail or other address
to take the spam (and look for real replies in when you have time), and don't use it for legitimate emails.
BUT - if you advertise wisely, you can make free classified advertising work for you.
You need a great headline and an urgent call to action clearly stated in
your ad. By the way - paid for classified sites on the Internet don't necessarily do any better than
the free ones - unless you advertise in a highly visited, popular classified website - or pay to have your
ad at the top when a search is made.
The free ones may be promoted more highly by those who want their ads to be seen.
